Friday it was so nice out we walked up to Promontory Point for dinner! We had a nice walk and enjoyed our lentils and apple butter sandwich in the park. Our Daddy and Mama ate, too, and then we played in the grass.
We can't wait for more warm days!

Easter Sunday!
Easter in New Orleans is a little different than Easter in Chicago.
First, it was 80 degrees, so we could stroller around in our light spring clothes (we were adorable--ask anyone).
Then, instead of hard boiled eggs, we had beignets and cafe au lait at Cafe DuMonde.
Then we saw some Easter parades unlike any parades we have ever seen before. The ladies in the parade were all dressed up and drove around handing out stuffed animals, beads, eggs and candy!
The second parade was a real windfall for us in terms of stuffed animals and beads. Anna clapped and grinned the whole time while Julia slept very soundly.
Our Gramee is clearly the one setting the example for us!

Easter break
For our first ever Easter we went to New Orleans with our Gramee, our Grandpa, our Mama and Daddy, and our Uncle Pack. We are in a curious group of people who went our entire first year without Easter, since it happened before we were born last year and after we turned 1 this year! Anyway, we enjoyed our New Orleans trip very much. The weather was lovely everyday, with just an occasional bit of rain. The first day, after an enjoyable plane ride, we went to the swamp!
After seeing some enormous alligators, we had to wear our gator pajamas that night!

Since we turned one...
We have found several new hobbies lately.
We are fortunate to live close to a bus stop and in a house with little-girl level windows. We spend a lot of time at the windows, watching the bus people and waving to our neighbors.
As you can see, we have also started to practice climbing.
We enjoy pushing stuff around, as well.

Party!
Our Mama and Daddy had a party for our birthday. All of our grandparents and most of our godparents were there, as well as not one but two friends named Liam. It was fun to play with the big boys, but the highlight for us was the cake.
It is not clear how we have gone an entire year without experiencing cake, but suffice it to say we like it very much!
