Per our custom, we chose a chilly day to go to the tree farm.

John was able to achieve adequate levels of dirt and muddiness in spite of sub-freezing temps.

And carried it back to the car.

Mama, with her sore arm, was very glad to have three strong children around to help.  But what happened to these babies that used to come with us??

John was all set to help Daddy tie it to the car, and home it came.
