Caroling at Cloud Gate

We went to Millennium Park to join in some Christmas carols on Friday night.


Here is a picture of our gypsy caravan, as seen in the Bean.

Julia and Anna enjoyed some hot cider.

And John took another in a series of pictures we call "Where are you dragging me now?"

Grand Rapids Children's Museum

During our time in Grand Rapids, we also visited the Children's Museum. Besides the perennial favorite grocery store area, we had a good time playing the piano and the drums.

John had a snack with our Da while we gave a monkey a checkup!

Thanksgiving

We made our annual trip to Grand Rapids for Thanksgiving. You can't see it, but John wore his turkey best to celebrate.

We played and played at Karen's, some of us more neatly than others!

Michigan Avenue lights

We went downtown last weekend to see the lights on Michigan Avenue, and to buy our Daddy a new winter coat.


Some of us were more interested in the lights than others.

John the Marmot

My parents have been calling me a marmot since shortly after birth, when my high-pitched yelps and squeals reminded them of a radio piece they'd heard about distressed marmots.
The resemblance increases as I age.

We all put on our bug best and went to Harper to trick-or-treat!!
 
 
Yes, we got the hang of it really quickly this year!
 

Halloween preparations

When our Grandma and our Uncle Steve were here this week, we got a head start on our pumpkin decorating!
We gutted one pumpkin for our Da to carve.
 
 
 
And then got to work painting a few more little pumpkins.
 
Uncle Steve was a mentor and muse for Anna.
