Pi day

We celebrated Pi Day with pies from Pie Boss, and most remarkably, the ability to eat outside.

Also, cherry pie.  And digits.  Mmm...math.

Garfield Park Conservatory

My two girls can't help but be beautiful.

Even when they are being a little goofy.

They get the goofiness from their da.

Garfield Park Conservatory

Here we are in this lovely setting, and I think I'd like to take some nice shots of my beautiful children.  John, can you sit here and give me your nicest smile?
Wait, try that again.

No, that's not right.

Sit up and look at me, please. Nice smile.

This is getting kind of goofy.

Goofier.  Just look at the camera.

Um, no. Try again.

John, really.

That's a very nice smile. Could you move your hand a little?

A little more?

Um, pay attention.  Look over here.

Getting bored, are we?

Right.

Well, I'll just put my camera away...

There, that's a nice nice smile, but you are a little too close...
Oh, dear.

There is no boy quite like our John.

Above freezing!!

And we have gone for a walk to the grocery.
Bringing along my favorite stick.  I've missed walking with my favorite stick!

All dressed up

Hi there!  Just your twelve-year-old Julia, all ready to go out for an afternoon with my friends.
Or a six year old, in a dress she selected herself at the store, outfit she assembled herself from her closet, hairstyle she did herself, ready to hang around the house on Saturday.
Beautiful and very clever, no matter what.

Volleyball

It was a crowded field at the Lewis men's volleyball halftime game.

We didn't win, but we had a great time anyway.  And Lewis pulled off a victory!
