Christmas with the Rowlands

Highlights from this year's Rowland family timer portrait.

Christmas morning at our house

Christmas preparations

It was touch and go for awhile...

But we made it to Christmas Eve!

Christmas shopping

Leave the boys alone in Macy's for a half a minute, and they make a beeline to the candy.
Leave us alone in Macy's and we shop.

Boxing day

This Christmas has been brought to you (literally) by Amazon.

Thermal selfie

My nose is cold.
My hands are cold
But my little girl is nice and warm.

Cookies

First we baked 'em, then we decorated 'em.  Full service pediatric bakers.

Trip downtown

We have been someplace wonderful.

Meeting Santa

Aren't we a relaxed, happy bunch, meeting Santa at Mama's work this year?
Even Santa looks a little tense.  We are still not sure what to think about Santa.  But we are looking forward to many presents this year.

This week at Family Dash

We played dodge ball.
It is not clear why it is so much fun to pelt your own offspring with balls.  But it is.  So much fun.  Also, good exercise.

Holiday programs

Our mama and daddy have been run ragged, attending three separate holiday programs.  Can you pick out your three favorite children in the pictures below?

Cookies: the results

The decapitated elf is my favorite.
And the cookies made by Mama and Daddy without any assistance from the children.

Math homework

Daddy is making good progress in the math homework that we give him.
Even in "hard math".

Draw how you feel

Christmas tree farm

As per our family tradition, we chose the coldest day possible to go to the Christmas tree farm to cut down a tree.

John vetted it, Daddy cut it, and we all hauled it home.
