Bike the drive

We are visiting our Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Karen, so our Mama and Da took advantage of Bike the Drive.  This has been one of our Mama's favorite events since before we were born.

After five years, our Mama and our Da have finally earned the right to a post just about them.

A small boy's dream

That's a contruction pit and train tracks (red, brown, and purple lines), if you are keeping track.

Caught one!

Either a tadpole or a leech.  And we're going tadpole.

More from Morton

We did our absolute best to get wet at the arboretum.  After tadpoling we climbed around on the rocks.

And fearlessly climbed these structures-- just to make our Mama nervous.

The arboretum provides two handpumps for children to play with.  Yippee!

Our Mama said we were too wet and filthy to even drive home in her car.  Fine by us!

Tadpole hunting

We spent the morning tadpole hunting at the arboretum.  It was a beautiful day for it.

Both girls got very clever at stealthily getting their hands under a tadpole and scooping it up to examine.

Contractors

No, our television isn't broken.  We would just much rather watch Mr. Jesus and Mr. Jay work.  They are fascinating!

Good news for the fashion-conscious

We each got a new pair of shoes today.  Even by our standards, these ones were shredded.

Our Mama has on record that she bought them on September 23.  Eight months is generous, right?  Never mind that we wore snow boots for most of that time.

So long, good friends.  We're already breaking in our new ones.
