Here we are at the Rainbow Beach Victory Garden, in the driving rain.  It is a very nice community garden, with very friendly neighbors. 

It does appear deserted, but the rain did not deter us.  We were thrilled to get to use our umbrellas. 

After nap, we walked (in the drizzle) to some of the Hyde Park sites. 

Here we are at the Hyde Park Bank building.  Somehow (in spite of living just 4 blocks away), we had never been inside.

We cannot say enough good things about OpenHouseChicago, which kept the five of us busy all weekend.  Today we visited this spot:


which only looks like a hulking wreck.  Clearly, we had a great time.
