Trip to Lewis

We took a trip to Lewis to check out the new science building, and it is lovely! 
Here we are, testing out the general physics lab.

We generated some excellent hypotheses about these magnets!

Maple tapping

We went to the Naper Settlement to learn where syrup comes from.  We went on an intensely chilly, windy day in early March, long before the mid-March hot spell.  The tree tapping was a bit of a letdown, but we had a great time at the Settlement.

Field Museum

The Field Museum has a great kids' room that includes-- get ready-- a sound-proof booth!  Our Mama put us in and walked away whistling!

No, she didn't.  She came in with us.  The room is sound proofed because it contains half a dozen drums and musical instruments.  Allow us to say that we made our Uncle Steve proud!

Spring break destinations

We have been to the Field Museum.

There was so much to see!  Way too much to be bothered with pictures.
