Forest preserve

We took a break from our typical trips to the Arboretum to head to the Little Red Schoolhouse forest preserve one day.
Our Da took 900 pictures and not a single one turned out! And we didn't even put John in the shot!

Poor John was so tired he could hardly keep his eyes open, but he did manage to eat his granola bar.

It was a chilly but lovely autumn morning.

We'll be back!

Have we previously

mentioned that my name is John, and I have big blue eyes?

Next time, swipe the cracker crumbs off my face, please, Mama.

Autumn

We found a pile of leaves at the Point that practically had our names written on them.

The brother

John is getting increasingly difficult to photograph.

This is still one of our Mama's favorite shots.

We were so adorable at the wedding. All of us.

Family picture

Even though we all looked nice, at least 20% of us were having a hard time at any given moment.

If it's Columbus Day

then it must be the Hyde Park Book Fair.

It was another beautiful day, and we scored a great Encyclopedia of Cats to boot.

Similaries

My Mama noticed some overlap at the Arboretum.

Pumpkin farm, continued

We are city kids, and as such, we were fascinated by the opportunity to climb in the hay barn.

John was, too.

He helped himself to a snack from the decorations.

We had a great time on the trike track. We didn't let a little thing like "not being able to reach the pedals" slow us down. Liam left us his his dust, and we still had a great time.

Pumpkin farm!

We made a trip to Beaver Dam to visit the Clearys, and while we were there, we got to go to the pumpkin farm!
Liam's pumpkin farm is absolutely our speed. Plenty of pumpkins, not too much graft.
When directed to stand by the sign and make a face, we were quick to comply.

Everyone enjoyed feeding the animals, especially John.

The big kids collaborated to feed the pygmy goats.
