Cargo John

In spite of appearances, I really enjoy riding in my backpack.

My Daddy says I'm getting pretty heavy, though.

Did you hear about us and pudding?

We love pudding. All of us.

Summertime?

The past two days have hinted at summertime: warm and humid. Our Daddy turned on the sprinkler so our new plants could have a drink, and we jumped right in!

Trip to Beaver Dam

We went for lunch and a tour of Liam's Daddy's school, and afterwards our Mama (in her fashion) tried to get us to pose for a picture.
The three big kids are getting easier...

...adding John was rather more difficult.

This was the best she could get. Maybe next time, Mama.

Beaver Dam, continued

Liam is a pro at tee-ball...

...whereas we have never encountered the game.

Our Da did his best to show us how to swing a bat.

We'll get there, Daddy.

Trip to Beaver Dam

You may remember our friend Liam, who now lives on the far-far-far north side in Wisconsin. We went to visit him last weekend and had a wonderful time playing in his 5-acre yard! We put all of our tot lot collaborative skills to work to share his trike.

Red haired boy

I got a haircut last week. I sat up in Ms. Heide's big chair like a great big boy, and she snipped off the last of my dark newborn hair. Now I'm a red-headed boy!

First Easter

Baby John is, as we say, a baby, so he does not eggs or candy. Or lamb cake or jello beans. He contented himself playing with the wood-gathering wagon.

And, in spite of his sleeves being down to keep his fingers warm, managed to play ball!

He did get some quality time with Uncle Pack.

As you can tell, John sizes people up pretty thoroughly!

Easter activities

We had our first-ever kite experience!

Well, sort of. Our enjoyment of it surpassed the airtime...

Easter, continued

After eggs, we had breakfast, and then it was time to head to Promontory Point!

We met Gramee and Grandpa, all our Rowland Uncles, and Aunt Alissa there. Gramee built a fire and cooked us dinner. We had a great time!

We kept busy loading up on firewood.
