Gramee's glasses

Gramee really should not leave her glasses laying around...

Picnic table

Our Gramee gave us this little picnic table for our birthday. We feel like such big girls, eating at the table like everyone else.

If you are looking for us this summer, we'll be in the yard.

Gardening

Our Daddy rented a rototiller to help get the garden ready for planting this year.

We offered to help rototill, but he said no. Emphatically.

Astrogirls

We recently took our Daddy to the planetarium again.
Look, Daddy! Stars!

This time we were thrilled to find that they have opened a big new area for kids.

Julia tried on an astronaut jacket.

We were very handy at fixing and repairing the broken parts of the spaceship.

We took a turn driving, but we were more interested in the gears and screwdrivers.

We quickly became expert cargo loaders.

We can't wait to go back!

We love fruit

Our neighbors came back from Florida recently and brought us 6 fresh, delicious grapefruit. In addition to enjoying the fruit (more than most 2-year-olds would), we have taken an interest in showing the grapefruit around, introducing them to our friends, and making sure they get to know the area.

Mass*velocity

Our Da, in his ongoing series of real-life physics lessons, encouraged us to experiment with momentum as we played in the park. With predictable results.

Is it June yet?

We cannot wait for summer. In the meantime, we are taking advantage of some above-average temperatures in the backyard!

Easter egg hunt

Our neighborhood is full of physicists and professors, so naturally Hyde Park can't just have an Easter egg hunt. We have an Easter egg scavenger hunt, complete with riddles, clues, and the occasional jelly bean (we are big fans).

The hunt was in the park, already one of our favorite places. We really got the hang of hunting eggs quickly. Even the empty ones were worth finding.

Birthday cake

We had vanilla cake with blackberries for our birthday cake this year. We were totally overwhelmed by our parents and grandparents' rendition of Happy Birthday, but we were able to enjoy our cake even though it was past bedtime.

Mmmm... we should have birthdays more often!

Birthday presents

This year, we really understand the concept of presents!

Our birthday!

We were lucky to have our birthday on a beautiful day this year. It was sunny and 80, and we wore sundresses and sandals and played and played outside.

We have come a long way from these tiny babies!
(Julia, 4 pounds, 5 ounces)

(Anna, 4 pounds even)

Our Mama and Daddy are proud of how we have grown but are wondering just how we have gotten so big. Two years? Already?
