Trip to Science and Industry

We went a few weekends ago to the Museum of Science and Industry. We had not been there since the summertime, so we found lots of new things to explore.

We both enjoyed the farm exhibit. Here is us driving a combine.

And here is us with our Mama and a cow.

We kept hearing a dog bark, but we never did find the dog.

We enjoyed the train exhibit.

And adored seeing the baby chicks hatching.

We learned a little something from those chicks. When we were playing with some egg-shaped toys a few days later, we asked our Mama where the birds were. We are getting very, very smart.

Growing!

We went to work with our Mama last week, and while we were there we got weighed!

Anna is 20 pounds and 12 ounces
Julia is 20 pounds and 14 ounces
And we were wearing 15 ounces of clothes apiece (not including boots or coats), along with 6-8 ounces of diaper.

There are those who claim we are lightweights, but look at the size of those tums!

Where is Daddy's birthday cake?

With apologies to those of you who are not familiar, and even deeper apologies to those of you who are.

Yesterday was Daddy's birthday. Daddy is looking for his birthday cake. Where is Daddy's birthday cake?
Is it in the dolly bed?

No, not in the dolly bed.
Is it on the porch?

No, the recycling is on the porch.

Is it on the stairs?

No, not on the stairs. Is it in the high chair?

No, not in the high chair.
Is Daddy's birthday cake under the birthday tree?

No, there are toys under the birthday tree.

Is it under the table?

No, not under the table.

Is it in the kitchen?
Yes!! Here is Daddy's birthday cake! Yum!

Shhh...naptime

Adults do the strangest things sometimes. Our Mama did not deliver a single baby during her call week, but she came home one afternoon and fell asleep on the floor. Because we are such helpful girls, we covered her up to make sure she stayed nice and warm.

Shhh...

Doesn't she look toasty?

Cabin fever?

Our Mama is a doctor, but even she is not sure what is wrong with us. We have learned to take off our clothes, and even though it is freezing, we enjoy our diaper-only time.

Er, make that diaper-and-hat only time.

Er... hat-monkey-and-diaper time.

Now that I am appropriately dressed, I can chose a little light reading.

Christmas presents

We received these giant, somehow creepy sock monkeys from our Aunt Karen for Christmas.

We are honestly not really sure what do with them!
