Apple orchard

With the days of summer waning, we made our annual trip to the apple orchard. It was cool and damp with dew, so we naturally had a wonderful time. We brought our Daddy along on this trip, too.

We very quickly got the hang of picking apples-- no surprise, since we have been helping our Mama harvest green tomatoes all summer!





We helped our Daddy reach the good apples at the top of the tree.



Then we had the ceremonial Sharing of the Apples with the Sister.


And then our favorite part: apples!!

Trip to the planetarium

We took our Daddy to the planetarium last week. It can be a hassle getting him out of the house, but once we were all packed up he was no trouble. Here is our Daddy with a big old telescope:

We were a little bored by the whole thing, but our Daddy was very interested.

Sometimes you have to sacrifice to make your parents happy. We are just those kinds of kids.

Getting bigger

We are getting so big, and our new haircuts emphasize our maturity.

Fortunately, the goofy faces bring us down to age.

but we are our own people, with our own interests!

And when the playing and reading gets to be too much, we can cuddle up for a nap!

Reading nooks

We take our book time very seriously. There's nothing like curling up with a good book. Of course, as toddlers, we sometimes find unusual places to curl up.
