It is a good thing we are learning to cook. Check out our Mama's first attempt at cupcakes for our birthday.
Our Mama is ordinarily proficient in the kitchen (she makes a killer banana cut in chunks), but she has clearly had better days!

Visiting Daddy at work, part 2
We did eventually make it out to visit our Daddy at Lewis. We had a very nice time, chatting with all the science professors and staff and other people who stopped by to see some rare cuteness! Our Daddy let us crawl around in the physics/chemistry office.
Then we helped our Daddy grade his mechanics homework.
See how helpful we are?

Flower and garden show
We ended our spring break with a rainy trip to the Chicago Home and Garden show. We dressed in our finest jackets with flowers and took our new-to-us umbrella stroller (from our new twin friends Elliot and Dietrich) and had a very nice afternoon. The highlight of the trip, for us, was the kids' area, where we took our first ride in a real swing!

Tot lot times
Once a week or so, we get to go to the tot lot. Sometimes we go with our Mama or Daddy, sometimes with our Gramee. The tot lot is over at the Hyde Park Neighborhood Club, where we also have our music class on Fridays. They open up the gym for little kids like us to play in. There are some great toys there, too, but many days we hardly need toys at all. We are happy to crawl and crawl.
This week, there was a ride-on toy out. We hopped right on and went for a ride!
For some reason, our Mama matches the tractor perfectly.
Anna and a truck
Julia and a push-along toy.
We both like to chase basketballs, too.

Cheer, cheer
We made our first trip to Notre Dame, our Mama and Daddy's alma mater. It was, in true South Bend fashion, bitterly cold, which made it hard even for us to enjoy our walk outside (and we love walks outside).
We saw the Dome and the Basilica
Mama took us back to where she used to study.
We made some new friends.
