Little tree huggers

We wrote a few weeks ago about our trip to buy a new tree in a driving, driving rain. Our Mama and Daddy finally got around to planting it last weekend.

Here is us with our Daddy, and the new tree

It looks like a tree.

It feels like a tree.

We would love to report whether it tastes like a tree, but our Mama says no.

Anything she can do...

Anna has learned to scooch under the couch, too.

Our Mama and Daddy are very proud.

Clothes

Sometimes you're just done wearing your snapsuit.

If only we could figure out these zippers!!

Adventure!

We are getting more curious!

Unfortunately for our Mama, we are also getting more mobile. She looked up from her book one day to find Julia under the couch licking the floor. We are so clever.

Trip to the (tree) nursery

Our Mama and Daddy think we need a new tree for the backyard. Yesterday, we drove out to the nursery to pick one out.

It was a record-setting rainy day in Chicago, so we had to eat in the car before shopping. We dressed for the occasion in matching floral snapsuits.

It poured the entire time we were there. We rode in our front carriers covered with blankets, but we were happy as clams at this bath from the sky.

Here we are with our Daddy and our new tree!

Tummy time

You may hear that many babies dislike tummy time.

Not so us! We enjoy playing on our tummies, and now that we can roll, we play on our tummies a lot.

Happy Anna:

Julia is very clever with her toys.

More summer stars!

You may remember these pictures of us with our star quilts back in June.

Here we are again in September in the same clothes and on the same quilt:

Our Mama had to take these pictures several times, because we took turns rolling over while she got her camera ready. True story.

Similarities

We have started riding in our carseats with one leg raised, like this:

Because of our freakish identicality, when we are both in our carseats, we both do it.

This has led our parents to consider a future career:

Summer days

We get to go for walks almost every day. Sometimes we go in the stroller, sometimes in the front carriers. Several times a week we got east to Promontory Point and the 57th Street Beach. It is just lovely there, especially in the evening.

We love evenings like this!

Going places

We have been very busy lately. Our Mama and Daddy think we should have new experiences, so they took us to Chinatown. They had lunch. We got to sit in our stroller.

We were very well-behaved while they had lunch.
