Beach living

We took our first trip to the beach this weekend! We were very good girls.

Our favorite parts were napping:

and eating:

We were not so crazy about the lake.

Our favorite new pastime

We adore the mobile attached to our Pack N Play. We like to end our naps by staring at it for a little while. Our favorite part is how the mobile doesn't move. Our Mommy and Daddy argue that a stationary mobile is a contradiction, but the giraffe, the hippo and the lion do not seem to care, and heaven knows WE don't care.

See? Isn't this riveting?

The giraffe is our favorite.

Smart cookies!

Number of girls who are supposed to be napping: 2
Number of girls who have spent nap time learning how to roll over in the pack-n-play so they can watch the stationary mobile: 2

We sleep on our tummies, but we are awfully proud of ourselves for figuring out how to leverage gravity like this!!

Actually, we blame our Mommy, who bought and dressed us in these:

We are just trying to live up to the onesies!

All smiles!

Now that we have learned to smile, all kinds of things make us happy!

Some would even describe us as 'exuberant'.

Tiny geniuses

We are learning to read.

Well. We are learning to look at books, anyway.

Millennium park

Last weekend was beautiful, so our Mommy and Daddy took us to Millennium Park.

Our first Bean picture:

We walked around the grounds and the gardens and then walked down to Grant Park and Buckingham Fountain.

We got to kick in the grass. Our Mommy and Daddy got ice cream. We think they won.

It was a great outing anyway!

Holier than you

On Sunday we got all dressed up and went to church.

(See how well we are doing with our smiling??)

After Mass we were baptized!

Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Patrick helped Anna be baptized.
Aunt Jenny and Uncle Steve helped Julia be baptized.

Afterwards we went home and didn't nap while our Mommy and Daddy had a little party for us.

We are pleased to say that it's been 48 hours and we are still sin-free! How long can we keep this up?

Fourth of July!

We celebrated Independence Day at the 4th on 53rd. We saw lots of our friends and neighbors in the parade-- maybe next year we will march! This year we contented ourselves by putting on our red, white, and blue and learning the words to the National Anthem.

Big changes!

We have had lots of big changes in the last couple of days! Our Mommy and Daddy moved us to a new house! It is not far from our old house, but it is much easier to go outside for walks now.

We were such good girls on moving day. This is what we did all morning while our Mommy and Daddy frantically finished packing:

And when we got to our new house, we napped in our stroller on the patio.
