Mardi Gras!

We went to Dixie Kitchen for Mardi Gras. We had our first taste of johnnycake and we love them! We also had some red beans and rice, jambalaya, and some mashed sweet potatoes. We were very well behaved at lunch, and we can't wait to go back to try some pulled pork.

 
 
 
 

Trip to the zoo!

We took our first trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo last weekend. Our Grandma was in town from Grand Rapids so our Mama and Daddy and Grandma took us out! It was pretty cold, so we had to get all bundled up, but we had a great time!

While it was good to see our Grandma, we are experiencing some (developmentally appropriate) stranger anxiety, and as such we spent most of our non-zoo weekend clinging to our Mama like this:
 

Playing on the floor

We have been floor babies for a long time now. Even when we were tiny, we were happier on the floor on our playmat than in a swing or a bouncer chair.

Our Mama thinks we are very cute when we play on the floor and demonstrate our ability to close our eyes in advance of the camera flash.
